Sarah alsaidi, phd

Dr. Sarah Alsaidi holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, awarded in 2021. She is a distinguished psychologist, researcher, and educator with a keen interest in micro (individual) and macro (systemic) growth and change. Dr. Alsaidi collaborates with individuals, teams, and organizations to identify challenges, cultivate growth, and guide change.

With expertise spanning various domains, Dr. Alsaidi offers a comprehensive services tailored to meet the diverse needs of her clientele. Her areas of specialization include organization and goal setting, addressing employee stress and burnout, navigating conflict resolution, fostering team cohesion and effectiveness, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Dr. Alsaidi is an expert in the area of identity, microaggressions, and microintervention response strategies. She employs an intersectional, feminist, and social justice approach that seamlessly integrates her clinical expertise with scholarly inquiry. Among her most notable accomplishments is the development of The Microintervention Workshop, a transformative educational and healing series designed to empower both targets and allies in recognizing and responding to daily microaggressions and biases. Dr. Alsaidi's expertise also extends to co-authoring the book, “Microinterventions: What You Can Do to Disarm and Dismantle Individual and Systemic Racism and Bias.”

Noëlle Santelli-Snyder

Noëlle Santelli-Snyder (she/her) earned her M.A. and Ed.M. in Mental Health Counseling and an advanced certificate in Sexuality, Women, and Gender from Teachers College, Columbia University. Noëlle joined Dr. Alsaidi in 2019 when The Microintervention Workshop was piloted with several NYC community-based organizations. She played an integral role in both delivering content alongside Dr. Alsaidi and conducting data analysis and research. Noëlle believes in creating affirming, egalitarian spaces which foster openness to challenge biases and integrates these values into her facilitation style. Her interests and workshops extend to mindfulness, attachment theory, microaggression theory, racial and cultural identity development, reproductive identity development, and the lived experiences of adopted individuals. She strives to spread the impact of this information through psychoeducation, group supervision, and professional development training. In her free time, Noëlle enjoys exploring New York City and experimenting with recipes from her ever-expanding cookbook collection. 

Wale Okerayi

Wale Okerayi LMHC, LPC holds a double masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College Columbia University. She is a licensed mental health counselor working with individuals, couples, and families. She is passionate about providing workshops and presentations that address but are not limited to: stress and burnout management, race & identity initiatives, and mental health techniques for the workplace. Her priority is to create and maintain a safe and intentional space through healing circles and individual coaching. In her spare time, Wale enjoys reading many books at once and building complicated Lego sets.
